Hey you guys... I am so sorry that I have not been putting up my daily post. It has been a real struggle here lately with balancing schoolwork, family, and church! God has gotten me through it and I am praising him every day for what he has done for me. I can only pray now that I can keep on reaching out those who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I also pray that God helps each one of us get through the daily struggles because I know that when we decide to give our lives to God the devil tempts us that much more! I pray that everyone has a safe, productive week full of God's blessings and I wanted to share this inspiring interview done by Ben Seewald who is married to Jessa Duggar Seewald. He recently did an interview on his sister-in-law, Ginger, who shares her wonderful testimony of how God came into her life. Us as Christians should be following this example and putting our testimonies out in the open every single day. Enjoy!!!

Bible Verse of the Day
Bible Verse of the Day
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. ~James 1:19-21

Instead of doing a post tonight I decided to make a tradition for the blog. I want people to talk about their testimonies because people that don't know God as their Lord and Savior need to hear it! That is the only way we as Christians can gain more followers for Christ. So my testimony for today is this blog. I have been complimented so much for starting One Light, One Soul, One God. The ones that stand out to me the most is the people that are my age telling me that they like the website. I love to hear those comments the most because it tells me that I am able to make a difference and lead the younger generation towards Christ. The younger generation is so important due to fact that they are the future Church. So hopefully, this blog will change the lives of many and progress everyday. Now it is your turn... comment below and give your testimony for the week. I will be doing this every Wednesday in the hopes of reaching out to the unsaved souls. Oh yea, and when you post use the hashtag #ExperiencedIT!!! So I hope you guys have a blessed day and I will see you back here tomorrow night to study God's word at One LSG blog!

Hey you guys! Tonight will be a short devotion for the youth about how to deal with school and stress (which I have had a lot of today). Most kids feel pressured to have an excellent academic performance while in school. It is very hard for us kids to average up to our true potential and sometimes we may feel defeated. For example, when you study all day and night for a chemistry test the next morning and you receive a very disappointing grade the following week... it can possibly wreck one's self-esteem. But listen up guys! The most popular verse in the bible says, "For I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13)". We may not receive the answers right away, but God has it all under control! The only way we can do better in school is if we apply ourselves and trust in the Lord our God. The key point that I would like to make is that in order for us to do well in school, we must listen in class and pray to God about our schooling. Only then will he give us the wisdom to succeed in our future careers! We always need that nudge from a parent or a friend when it comes to school, but just remember that the only person who will be there to carry every last burden we may bare is God. He is our MOTIVATOR! So I want children to think of school as a place were we can show others God's almighty power that lives within us and with that power there is nothing we can't handle. Nothing is impossible when God is on YOUR SIDE! Don't forget to email me prayer requests and if you have any ideas for new posts I would love to hear them! Until next time, this is Taylor signing off from One Light, One Soul, One God! Check back in tomorrow and be sure to share this post!

We all know that in the very first book of the bible (Genesis) we are told of how God made the Earth, the creatures, and humans. How could one person create all that within a week and be able to rest for just one day. I don't know about you, but I would have to take a Tylenol and go to bed after doing all that work. The one thing that I want to focus on is why did God make Eve. We all know how fascinating it was for God to make the image of a woman from the rib of a man. The question though is why did he do it. Genesis 2:18 reads, "Then the Lord God said, 'It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him'." Even though it says that the reason God did this was because he didn't wish for Adam to be alone I think there is a more in-depth explanation. I believe that God created Eve so that she could keep Adam straight... I'm just joking because it was more like Adam keeping Eve straight. I really think that Eve was created so that we as people could understand the love we have for each other and the love God expresses towards us. I mean think about it... they where all by themselves with only each other for support. Love is an amazing thing and it is the perfect time to start talking about it since Valentine's Day is drawing near. I challenge everyone to go up to someone very special this month and tell them that you love them. It is hard to get caught up in the worldly struggles instead of appreciating what the people have to offer around you. We are all design to love someone whether it be a parent, sibling, spouse, God, etc. But if we do not show that we appreciate them often they will begin to drift out of our lives. That is what can happen to us when we are not grateful for what God does for us in our daily lives. There is saying that I love that describes this situation very clearly and it states, "If God seems far away, guess who moved". God doesn't push us away we do it ourselves and that also compliments our personal relationships with others. As Valentine's Day draws near I will begin to talk more about God's unfailing love, but for right now have a fantastic day knowing that God is there to help you succeed in all that you do. Check back tomorrow for another entry on the One LSG Blog and if you ever feel the urge that you need to talk to someone do not hesitate to email me... I am just a click away! Also if you have a prayer request on your mind I would love to hear it and pray for you and the person it applies too. Prayer is a powerful thing... REMEMBER THAT!

Tonight I want to talk about how we all perceive God to look like. I hope all of you have seen the movie Heaven Is for Real and if you have not I highly recommend that you watch it. One of the main scenes that I love in this movie is where the father is talking to his son about how God looks. The father begins to bring out a book of pictures that people have painted of Jesus Christ. He then asked his son did any of the pictures look like the real Jesus and the boy said no. That is what I love! If you ask why it is because many artists have painted their own interpretations of what Jesus may look like, but no one has never really seen him. Many have painted his face, but there is only one true image. It just fascinates me that we can worship him without even having to look at his face and if I do say so myself that is an excessive amount of trust. It just gets to me when people say "Well how can you believe in something when you can't even see it?" Well I know for a fact that God loves me and he died on the cross so that my sins could be forgiven along with the rest of the world's. I don't have to see him to know that he committed a selfless act so that we could have a better life and a second chance. As the saying goes, "Seeing isn't Believing, Believing is Seeing!". Now don't get me wrong, we are all entitled to how we think God looks and nowhere in the bible does it say that this is incorrect behavior. My point is that you don't have to see something to know that it happened! And just think we get to watch something amazing occur when Jesus comes back to gather his children. I hope you guys have had a blessed day like myself! Tune in tomorrow night for an even greater talk about how God is so good to us right here at One Light, One Soul, One God!!!

This post is going to be a quicky since it is so late! I want to talk to you about missionary work that we should strive to accomplish right in the community we live in. We all know that once we are saved by the grace of God it is our duty to witness to others and become one with Jesus Christ himself. It even says in the bible to worship God in everything we do; our mind, soul, and heart! I definitely take that scripture into consideration throughout every day God gives me a chance to live. My point is we shouldn't be scared to go up to somebody and talk to them about Jesus. When Jesus asked his disciples to come and follow him they swiftly followed after. That is how we should be! He has blessed us with a mouth and a pair of legs which will help us to go out and find someone in need of repentance (I mean come on... why else would he give us these abilities). People may not want to talk about their beliefs or religion in general. I say it is important because we learn from one another and get to witness at the same time. When most people think of missionary work they think of traveling across seas to a country who is in need of faith. Take a look around you! There are people walking down the street right now not even knowing what Christ could do with their lives. Jesus is hustling every day to win as many lost souls as he can and we should do that as well whether it is volunteering, talking to a friend, or speaking to a group about your testimony. It is the least we can do since he died on the cross with three rusty nails. I hope you enjoyed this short commentary and check back in tomorrow for a new post at One LSG Blog. Keep it holy everyone (hehe)!!!

We all know that we have those questions in the back of our heads like: "Why am I here?", "What is my purpose?", and especially "Why did you do this God?". I am a nineteen year old and I have come to realize that life is not easy. Quoting from Facing the Giants, Grant Taylor the head coach says that "We're not here to get glory, make money, and die." I believe that there is a truth to this statement. We have been put on this Earth for God and all of us as one should have a purpose to save every lost soul that we may come in contact with. Don't just sit at the house thinking that a sinner is going to come up to your door, ring your doorbell, and ask for forgiveness. It doesn't work like that! We as a Church (meaning any denomination) should make it our priority to go out and talk to people about Jesus. God has placed a testimony in each of our lives to share with everyone. Now enough with the heavy... back to the question of why God does things in our lives whether they are good or bad. I have definitely had plenty of those days were I have cried and ask God why he did this to me. I shouldn't even think about asking that question... like really?! God doesn't want us to question why he does things the way he does because there is always a purpose behind it. My belief is that when we ask that question we are most likely questioning God and his works. Like the saying goes, "Everything happens for a reason." It really does because if the situation was for your benefit or not you learned from your mistake and you grew that much more in your spiritual life. Think about that the next time God interferes with your life. When you think that you can't handle the situation ask a friend for advice, talk to your parents, or pray to God about it. You can never go wrong with those choices! And if that doesn't work you can always get in contact with me right here on the One LSG blog or email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org!!! So I hope you enjoyed reading this post and tune back in tomorrow to read more at One Light, One Soul, One God!
